The story takes place in a fishing village in southern France. Mario is a medical student and in love with Claudia, his landlord's daughter. Charlotte also feels attracted to Mario, but he doesn't want anything to do with her. After completing his studies, Mario goes to Zaire in the Congo for an internship. Charlotte's parents don't allow her to travel with Mario. Mario meets an indigenous woman. Claudia doesn't stay faithful either and marries another man. Mario's love letters are intercepted by Charlotte and answered instead of Claudia. When Mario returns, he finds out what happened, but Charlotte takes care of him. by sound67
